REPORT

Another game of fear.
But the fear this time was heavier on Consadole Sapporo who had a more urgent need to distance themselves from the relegation red zone than S-Pulse who nonetheless are from being safe in spite of their recent improving form.
Caught cold by a quick goal well taken after misunderstand between the GK and his DF S-Pulse found themselves chasing the score from the very beginning until the very end.
Although enjoying 50% more possession and four times as many corner kicks they managed only half as many shots on target. Repetitive lack of precision and nerves cost the match to S-Pulse who had a reasonable chance to come back home with precious points.

So the first half of the season ends on a mitigated note.
S-Pulse is still far from safe from relegation but seems nonetheless to have the edge.
Their defense needs to become more vigilant in the first and last minutes of every game and their attack needs to score more goals. With a little more will and hunger they should prove their faithful fans right.
Let’s hope they will please us all next Saturday against strong Gamba Osaka!
