Night and day compared to the last game and the whole season on some points! As predicted the team was greatly changed for that other away game.
It gave a last chance to some players who knew too well the day would become momentous. It handsomely paid off as S-Pulse resolutely attacked Yokohama FC for the very beginning, a team they were seeking revenge against.
In the 5th minute, rookie Suzuki sweetly ran past the defense on the left flank before sending the perfect short low cross for Kaneko to almost lazily flicked it past a bemused goalkeeper.
In the following minute the forward and midfielders applied great pressure to steal the ball from the opposite defense to allow Dutra shot a clever long-range goal.
In the 38th minute S-Pulse scored a goal adventurously built from the goalkeeper which saw them passing their way past the whole opposite team before Takeuchi finished unopposed with a great middle range low shot.
Understandably they contented to manage the game although the goal conceded in the 56th minute was simply too soft to accept. In the 61st minute S-Pulse was very unlucky not to score again when Kaneko hit the cross bar to see the rebound being shot by Dutra against the far post1
All in all, a well-deserved and entertaining win even if surprising for some.
The last games of the season could actually bring more fun to the fans than expected as many players will play for their future, a very unpredictable one considering a second-string team can do so well!
We should see a good game on Sunday at home against like-minded Shonan Belmare, that is for sure!
