REPORT

Goals win matches. Defense does not.

In 6 games, all competitions included, we have conceded only 6 goals, a far better performance than last year maybe, but we have not scored more goals. This time Gonda was not enough to save the team when only one shot was on target from the starting members. Substitutes had more chances, but to no avail.

Truth to tell, playing in a faraway venue in midweek, a big town for that, but with very few spectators is no fun. But this is professional football. It is tough to criticize but S-Pulse will have to quickly find a way to score more goals or this could become a long season. They have the players and the potential, as shown by the selection of Hara into the national Under-24 Team after Gonda being selected for the National Team.

Let us hope that the team will show a better and truer face at Kashiwa this Sunday against a team in almost the same situation!
