REPORT

The road is long, hard and endless… This time, we somehow managed for the time to lose a Levain Cup game, lose our clean sheet record and once again not win at home!

In spite of a good crowd for such a midweek game, Shimizu lost because of a soft goal in the first half, and a  own goal during the second half.

They courageously fought on and pulled back a goal, a maiden one for recruit Ibusuki, but in spite of Mattheus finally being operational and coming into the second half, they conceded a vital but not final game.

They will at least have to win their next game at home against Sendai Vegalta to preserve their chances to qualify for the Levain Cup playoffs. A forgettable day!

Next game will see S-pulse embark on a long trip to Oita on Sunday in a very open game. Every game seems to be so important, does it not! S-Pulse, ganbare!
