REPORT
Another draw…
But it was acquired away this time, so we can say it is a bonus point.
A game dominated by both goalkeepers behind defenses who dominated the day when forwards could not find a way in.
Truth be told, S-Pulse had a slight advantage in possession and shots on target but a draw was probably fair on the day.
S-Pulse dominated the beginning of the first half and created chances in the 3rd and14th minute but the final shots were either straight to the goalkeeper (Miyamato) or tentatively wide (Santana).
In the 26th minute it was the turn for Gonda to block a close-range shot that fortunately went straight to him.
In the 38th minute Gonda had again to keep his nerves after a S-Pulse’s back pass had been hopelesslyintercepted.
In the 54th minute Santana once again missed by the goal by little with a fine shot from just outside the box.
2 minutes later Santana again had his chance on a one on one against the goalkeeper but could not control the goal properly inside the box.
Kyoto had their best chance in extra time when they were denied a point-blank chance inside the box repulsed by Gonda.
S-Pulse will have the occasion to win their first game at home with two successive matches starting with the venue of Nagoya Granpus on Saturday.
The fans are expecting better!
