REPORT

A very important win for many reasons!

-We take an option on the second spot of our group with 3 matches home and 1 match away left, which should make qualification for the playoffs easier.

-“Second-string players” are gradually getting accustomed to the new team strategy system, ensuring plenty of backup in case of injuries or suspension.

-Young players are proving their worth, for a bright future.

Truth to tell, it was a gritty win probably won again by the defense.

The first half saw some contained domination from Sendai whose only chance was a missed golden opportunity in the 45th minute. The second half saw a full substitution for S-pulse for a more attacking side.

It paid off in the 72th minute with an individual exploit by teeneager Yuito Suzuki who blocked a pass in his own half to run all the way to the opposite goal before coolly shooting home through the legs of the last defender. His first goal as a professional coming at the best of times! After that a solid defense took over and saw the day safely.

Next Sunday, it is at last back home for a J1 League match against newly-promoted Tokushima Vortis. Fans should have a good day!
