REPORT

A match to quickly forget after the memorable win of last Wednesday!

In front of a near full stadium S-pulse played on par against a solid Kashiwa Reysol creating as many chances in a sometimes dull game only to concede a sucker goal at the last minute before half time.

The second half did not witness the expected reaction and goalkeeper Rakutan had to exert himself from the opening seconds against the Reysol attack who had understood where to press S-pulse and the second goal came quickly enough after another weak show of S-pulse defense.

Kamata pulled one back soon after to some hope back in Shimizu Supporters’ hearts but Reysol replied soon enough with two clinical goals both from counter attacks opening chasms between the flat-footed S-pulse defenders.

S-pulse generally appeared flat footed on legs still heavy from their exertions of last Wednesday. It is still tough for our team to pull off two successive wins against J1 League contenders.

Let’s hope they will regroup quickly and show a better image of themselves starting with a difficult away game at Kashima this Saturday!
