REPORT
This was one these days…

When nothing seemed to go right and everything seemed to go wrong. It could and should have been totally different but for a few details.

And to think that S-Pulse’s opponents were saved from relegation last year by the very man leading them this year!

It started with Kawai having beaten the Sanfrecce goalkeeper to only see his shot hitting the post. A few minutes later Rokutan saw his clearance rebound onto the legs of a surprised Hiroshima forward who could not believe his luck when the ball trickled into the goal. At the 37th minute Takigawa was denied by a desperate Sanfrecce goalkeeper.

Then the second half started with conceding a long range goal, which however great it looked could have been avoided with a tighter defense. S-Pulse courageously continued attacking until the last minute only to see their efforts missing by inches.

A frustrating defeat away from home against the present leaders who do not seem to attract big crowds in spite of their performances.

Team Manager rightly refused to be negative about an adverse result and praised his players for playing well. A few more crosses could have changed the whole game. The team in his eyes is progressing in the right direction and it is only a question of time and a few details to hone before they become a real force to reckoned with.

On Sunday they will fly to Saga Prefecture in distant Kyushu Island and they could surprise a few people!
