REPORT
No longer on the cards…
Now, S-Pulse would have to beat Consadole in Sapporo and hope for an upset by Kofu at Iwata…

Jubilo did well to contain S-Pulse attacks in the first half

It all happened within 10 minutes during the second half.
In the 58th minute the Iwata goal keeper, after another S-Pulse attack, threw a long pass which was quickly relayed past Shimizu’s exposed left flank to allow Jubilo’s striker run around Nishibe.

In the 65th minute, at last one of Murata’s constant forays was rewarded when his cross was headed into the goal by Hasegawa. But in the 68th minute, the same movement was almost replicated to the letter by Jubilo and S-Pulse had to concede the goal that clinched the game.

S-Pulse never let the pressure down but, as Team Manager Jőnsson commented, in spite of very good attacks on both sides the good work never went to good fruition, leaving a sour taste in defeat.

We will have at last a home game to forget all that Saturday when we host Shonan Belmare.

Let’s hope for a good crowd under the sun!
