Shimizu S-Pulse’s nemesis lies in wait on the other side of Mount Fuji!
This was their third game of the year against J League 2 Ventforet Kofu, a club which is already practically out of the race for promotion to J League 1 for obviously concentrating more on silverware available with the two cups they are participating to.
S-Pulse, decidedly not at their best, conceded an early goal on the 7th minute and it was catch ball from then on, missing opportunities and losing Tese to a bad injury in the bargain. On the day they played to their opponents’ level in an almost empty stadium and forgot how to manage a game with a cool head.
The less said the better.
Now, they can concentrate on J1 League and only J1 League.
Let’s hope they will come back to their real potential right from Wednesday at home against Cerezo Osaka!
