REPORT
A new beginning?
Could well be so but we shall have to wait until next Saturday game for a home J1 League encounter against fellow strugglers Vegalta Sendai.

But all seem to tend to move into the right direction. Yung players are finally making the best of the few opportunities given. And this dead rubber against Jubilo Iwata, the third derby of the year, could prove the last such opportunity.

Head Coach Shinoda fielded a combination of regular starters and second string players, even giving a brief chance to teenager Kawamoto.

We had to wait until the second half when constant pressure allowed the midfield to have a shot at the goal from close range. The ball hit the bar but Takahashi volleyed the rebound into the back of the net for his first goal for the club that formed him.

The next goal was also the direct result of a more aggressive approach when Nkamura finally crossed in front of the opposite goal keeper forcing a lone defender in conceding an own goal under the pressing of two S-Pulse players.

Jubilo had their chances but saw their best attempts bouncing twice off the woodwork. All in all S-Pulse deserved their win and it will encourage the whole time to be more aggressive next game.

Time to please the faithful fans!
