REPORT
End of honeymoon…
A game that S-Pulse gifted to Bottom-placed Tosu Sagan!

The first goal conceded, a direct free kick in the 9th minute, set the tone of the match as it could have been avoided, so obvious was the target. S-Pulse did well to equalize in 5 minutes later when Kaneko’s cross caught the opposite defense in tangles to allow an easy goal for Douglas. But the goals conceded in the 16th and 20th minute were exact copies with a defense missing the height of Tatsuta leaving Torres score with far too much ease.

S-Pulse went back on the attack and did well to score one back in the 26th minute with Renato brilliantly converting a corner kick with a heading past the near post.

S-Pulse kept on attacking until the end and ended up with more possession, better passing, more shots at goals and more shots on target. But a silly 4th goal following a comedy of errors in the 65th minute put the game away for good.To their credit S-Pulse fought until the last minute but their defense is still too fragile and lacking height.

There still plenty of work but also hope for the team. Let’s hope it was a momentary lapse! Next game will see a match for the Emperor’s Cup against J 3 League bottom team, Nagano. S-Pulse should be careful, though!
