Nightmare of a first half! It all happened then.
First, another soft goal in the 9th minute when a sole opposite forward was allowed to shoot home a cross among five defenders. In the 11th minute S-Pulse had their chance but Suzuki’s shot was deflected by the bar.
Then in the 18th minute Tatsuta committed a naïve fault just outside the box which saw a harsh but justified direct red card. Then for 72 minutes S-Pulse had to play with only 10 players. In the 22nd minute they conceded a contentious goal after a cross. The VAR, had it been used would have found the Marinos forward marginally off side.
In the 28th minute for the third time a cross found an Marinos forward forgotten by the defense. The score could have been worse as Marinos proceeded to waste three good chances.
S-Puse did well to never give up and came close to score twice during the last 15 minutes.
The whole team will have to regroup and show their true face. They will have the occasion to do so on Saturday when they travel to fellow strugglers, Shonan Belmare!
From next week more fans will be able to attend games. Let us hope this will be create a better environment!
