Common Dream, Common Excitement, Common Pride
World-class professional football club, created and nurtured by citizens, contributing to development of community and its sports culture, and providing dream to all children who love football.
S-Pulse was named with a combination of the capital letter "S" of "SOCCER, SHIMIZU, SHIZUOKA" and the English word "PULSE" for describing excitement of football-loving citizens and team spirit.
Team color of S-Pulse is bright orange named "S-Pulse orange". This is the very right color to symbolize the team, because Shizuoka prefecture, hometown of S-pulse, is one of the most famous mandarin-orange producing sites in Japan and this color reminds people of pleasure, hope, youth, progress, vigor.

Team logo is uniquely designed with combination of the nickname "S-PULSE" and trail of a kicked ball for promoting more effective acknowledgment of our team name.

![]() Hoping to build bridges between S-Pulse and supporters, the mascot "PUL" was named after English "PAL", the similar sound and spelling of PULSE. PUL was born as a modern, elegant, charming and energetic character with such necessary skills for football as quickness, strength and wisdom. Plumage of its ears symbolizes S-Pulse players flying quickly in the field. |

S-Pulse, as a civic club, we have not only been operating the professional football team, but also contributing to development of sports culture and providing sports facilities. Also, we have been working to be a stone for good life of residents in cooperation with municipality based on "The Hundred Year Vision" slogan, which J. League is employing.
In August 1995, S-Pulse signed an agreement relating to exchanging projects between Shimizu city (currently Shizuoka city) and Shimizu S-Pulse. Since then we have worked for a revitalization of city and town in the various areas through participating in community events, dispatching manpower to supporter's club, co-sponsoring local football tournaments and so on. S-Pulse cannot remain in existence apart from hometown, and also for hometown Shimizu (currently Shizuoka city), S-Pulse have been a keystone for revitalization of towns.
During 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan, S-Pulse and the city worked together to attract training camp of Russian national team. A training match with S-Pulse and interaction with citizens were realized during their stay. After that, international exchange through football is going on at the grass-roots level. A boy's team from Sakhalin visited Shimizu and took part in amateur junior soccer league. Besides, when S-Pulse participated in AFC Champions league, the top clubs of each Asian country, such as South Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam and Maldives, visited Shimizu city (currently Shizuoka city). Through invitation of many citizens to the matches, S-Pulse greatly helped the city with international exchange and transmission of regional information overseas.
After the merger of Shimizu city and Shizuoka city in April 2003, "new" Shizuoka city becomes the hometown for S-Pulse and we are attempting to support activation of local economy, as well as health promotion and progress in cultural awareness of citizens as a representative professional football club of "new" Shizuoka city. Match operation of S-Pulse home games is backed up by around 200-member regional volunteers from municipality, companies and general public, who check tickets at the entrance, support people with disabilities, guide visitors to the appropriate gates or appropriate services. In this way S-Pulse are working for creation of community through sports (football). It will give us a great pleasure, if S-Pulse become a stone of town creation, that citizens love their town Shizuoka and feel proud of it.
