REPORT

A frustrating draw at the end of day…

With a win we could have opened a significant gap away from the dangerous relegation zone once for all, but now we still have to look over our shoulder for a while.

Considering the number of shots on targets and corner kicks, we could say that the draw was a fair enough result and Head Coach Lotina was taking a point out of an away game. It was still a strange game and all goals could have been averted.

In the 2nd minute S-Pulse sent a long throw-in into the box that Tokushima could not clear after many attempts before Hara who was lurking behind everyone sent the ball home. In the 13th minute the S-Pulse defense looked at a Tokushima attacker taking all his time to sent a long range shot past Gonda.

In the 18th minute a good S-Pulse counter saw hara send a cross that Tokushima only managed to head into their goal. In the 22nd minute Santana missed a wide-open goal later another good counter which would have put the game on ice. In the 63rd minute another point blank chance was wasted by Katayama.

After that S-Pulse made the mistake to fall back on defense and in the 84th minute, once again they looked at a Tokushima player kicking a long range shot with no real opposition that found its target to S-Pulse’s players’ dismay. S-Pulse conceded their two goals in a way too reminiscent.

Now next match is on Saturday at home against a team without a loss this whole season in the name of Kawasaki Frontale. A good result could mean a lot for the rest of the season!
