REPORT

The ship is sinking…

We were supposed to have fielded the best team of the season…

We had beaten the same 3-1 on their turf…

The match ended in a total debacle in front of a pitifully small attendance.

We managed to get 10 corner kicks but wasted a poor 7 attempts at goal. We seemed only to aim to move sideways.

Kashima got only 1 corner kick but had 16 attempts at goal with 4 finding the bottom of the nets. They had attacked through the center.

We should have won our last three games but managed only a miserly 1 point instead of 9, and now we find ourselves only 2 points ahead of the relegation zone where clubs are all improving.

This is not a problem concerning the athleticism or football skills.

This is a problem of a team’s attitude and spirit. That is what makes the difference at this level.

Is it not the time to be more critical and show not only pride, but guts?

Our opponents do not fear us, and that is the issue putting us at a disadvantage before even the kickoff.

Well, on Sunday we play away at Nagoya against a team who love to beat us.

About time to rebel and stop being a laughing stock!
