REPORT

Talk of a frustrating loss! A game that Shimizu S-Pulse dominated, especially in the first half, but lost by committing only two mistakes they paid cash for.

They should have led by at least two goals at half time with Santana (twice) and Fujimoto (once) missing by mere inches, after some great midfield work by Kololli who is growing in stature game after game. Actually, Tosu did not have a single chance during the first half.

But in the 58th minute a disjointed central defense gifted Tosu with a free header. In the 64th minute S-Pulse had their sole moment of luck of the day when Santana’s shot was deflected past a helpless opposite goal keeper.

But in the 74th minute Ronaldo was somewhat unlucky to concede a free kick with his opponent doing all he could to impress with a clever fall. Then disaster struck when a wall totally out of position conceded the free kick which even had an element of luck before going past Gonda.

Well, hopefully S-Pulse will prove their potential on Saturday at home against fellow strugglers Sendai with a good chance to open up the necessary gap away from the danger zone!
