REPORT
S-Pulse changed ten starting members for this first YBC Levain Cup Group Stage match including Iida and Tatsuta who made their debut on the day. Even though Shimizu had to be deliberate in their action for the beginning of this game, but they allowed Kashiwa their opening goal just after 3 min.
It was shocking for today’s S-pulse players and it had a large effect on them. For that reason, in the 1st half there was a 45 min for Kashiwa side. Sugiyama who is the most experienced player in this match said “Our young players were not nervous before the game but it happened and it really hard to come back” The actual situation, Kashiwa made dangerous chances for three times, there was a possibility 0-4.
However, S-pulse possessed the ball and control of the game during a period of 2nd half as Shinji Kobayashi told his players that “Everybody need to recover your courage and we need to take your time” and put Notsuda(46), Matsubara(60) and Musaka(71) step by step. Meanwhile, Duke headed in Matsubara’s and Murata’s pinpoint cross 32 min and 36 min even it did not made but the situation changed absolutely.
The whistle blew for the end of the game before Shimizu scored an equalizer but YBC Levain Cup Group Stage has just started. Duke who came back from his grievous injury mentioned that “It was the first official game for many of us including me but we got confidence because we created many chances” This game’s experience has to be food for the future to improve.
