REPORT
A great relief! Back to winning ways at last!

This tide Lady Luck had a share in our win but it certainly did not look like she was going to make us any favors at the beginning of the game when Crislan conceded one of the most own goals in the 2nd minute when the ball hit the back of his legs into the goal. Injury was added to insult when the same Crislan had to leave the field in the 18th minute with a badly twisted ankle.

But Sakura Momoko (the players wore a black band in remembrance of the early departed creator of the famous Chibi Maruko manga character) was there to look after our troops and in the 27th minute after a combination on the left side Matsubara’s low cross found Kaneko unmarked in front the goal. His low shot gave no chance to the opposite goal keeper.

In the 49th minute the same Kaneko, after a short corner kick taken by Kitagawa, turned provider and his cross who expertly chest-controlled by Douglas who then sweetly volleyed into promised land.

Ishige, Kitagawa and Hwang then proceeded to miss great chance to put the game on ice and Sakura Momoko had to make sure to keep our goal safe in spite of two shots hitting the bar and post.

But we somehow survived and our troops were grateful for the three points after all the bad luck and weak displays in the last four games, but they know they will still have to improve their game if they want to come back with their cases full after the two away games still waiting for them!
