REPORT
One of these days…
When everything goes wrong whatever you try with the best of fighting spirits!

It started with a blunder which saw Seok Ho red carded in the 5th minute. Not much to complain about that but for the rest of the game players were not protected. Even so the whole team fought hard to protect their goal and exploit whatever chance cane their way. And S-Pulse impressed with their courage and tenacity and could have scored first if Douglas’ splendid curled free kick had not flown past the right post so close.

Alas they could not stop in time one more attack that saw the ball in their net in the 39th minute.

The second half witnessed S-Pulse still valiantly attacking their rivals’ goal and a long line throw in the 50th minutes by Futami befuddled Jubilo’s defense who could only helped the ball on its way.

That is when probably S-Pulse was most unlucky. Three times they came desperately close to take the lead but were foiled by Jubilo’s excellent goalkeeper. And in the 86th minute, so close to a draw they conceded the killer blow, another soft chance through sheer fatigue.

The final result was most cruel considering the efforts under impossible odds but the fans recognized the efforts of Shimizu and encouraged them to the last minute.

Well, the next game will see S-Pulse travel to fellow strugglers Vegalta in Sendai, but they could very well surprise everyone!
