REPORT
Yet again so close and still so far! But this result means that the last game of the season will define the destiny of Shimizu S-Pulse!

S-Pulse started well enough when in the 18th minute Elsinho scored from close range after Cerezo failed to clear a low corner kick. S-Pulse somehow saw the first half with only a couple of close shaves in spite of constant pressure.

They were holding firm in second half when bad luck again and again. First in the 60th minute Renato had to leave with a broken arm, leaving the defense disorganized. In the 75th minute following a corner kick clearance.

Cerezo’s long range attempt saw the ball deflected completely the other way leaving no chance to goal keeper Okubo. And the nightmare was concluded in the 79th minute when S-pulse failed to clear another corner kick for another typical soft goal.

Another occasion to secure their place in the J1 League left begging on fine details!

Well, now S-Pulse has no other solution left but to regroup and ensure their place in the J1 League next year. A win will be in all probability necessary as a draw or loss will have little chance to see them escape. Moreover their last opponents are Sagan Tosu who are finding themselves exactly in the same position!

It will be tough. It will be painful. But the fans have a good chance to believe in the good fate of their club on Saturday December 7th at IAI Nihondaira Satdium in Shizuoka!
