REPORT
A crazy win in crazy conditions! Crazy win thanks to an unusual goal rush, crazy conditions as the game had to stopped for quite a while due to thunder and diluvial rains that made the game momentarily impossible despite the superb condition of the pitch!

Shimizu S-Pulse seem at last on the right track proving their new attacking potential although all goals were scored from set pieces. For all their possession they could not score in open play despite having four times as many shots at goal. On the other hand, this new set piece strength thanks to tall backs happily joining is a weapon that many a defense will fear every time S-Pulse obtains a corner kick or a well-placed free kick that Nishizawa will only be too happy to take care of!

In the 41st minute his corner kick from the left found Hwang Seok Ho left alone by a defense dragged away by the tall S-pulse attack to head in unopposed hi first goal in two years.

In the 57th minute this time Nishizawa’s corner kick from the right found Renato on the far side to head back to Carlinhos who fired home with all the time in the world.

In the 70th minute a free kick from the left outside the box found Tatsuta towering over everyone to squeeze his heading for already his second goal of the year.

After a longish forced break Nishizawa’s corner kick from the right found Valdo this time who headed in his first goal for his new club. It must certainly be the first time three different backs found their way to goal in a single match for S-Pulse!

Unfortunately, the very last minutes a lapse of concentration saw Oita score two soft goals, although the second one would have been found offside if a VTR were used.

Nonetheless, for all the day’s joy Head Coach Clamovski was “not happy” about these two last goals, a point he promised more hard work to solve!

But S-Pulse fans will enjoy their long-awaited win and travel with plenty of hope next Saturday to Saitama, a game which promises to be a difficult one! If S-Pulse wins that particular game you can expect a completely different team for the rest of the season!
