What a waste of a good opportunity!

Why cannot we put two good performances in a row?

After the encouraging draw against the 2nd team in the League last time, we dismally fail to take the opportunity to jump over our direct opponents. In the end we find ourselves again with our backs against the wall in another unending battle to escape demotion. We did not lose the game, we simply gave it away!

There is a gulf between being full of vigor and hunger as a substitute for the last 30 minutes of one game and lacking the very same qualities when you are selected as a starting member the next game. The defense played well enough and the goal conceded at the end of the game was only the result of a poor midfield and attack performance.

Talking of which, there are three new recruits waiting to fill in those very spots. Do not be surprised if some players lost their last chance to impress.

And it could start with the very next game, the 4th round of the Emperor’s Cup against runaway leaders, Kawasaki Frontale, that nobody expects us to win next Wednesday even on home soil.

Time for change, is it not? It certainly does not cost anything to hope against all odds!
