REPORT

So close and yet so far!

On the day we showed quality and commitment belying our present low order stadium.

We started nervously and a defense blunder could have ended conceding a goal in the third minute if not for a good save by Gonda.]

Kitagawa missed a good chance in the 16rh minute after S-Pulse had cleverly beaten Kawasaski’s left side.

But in the 28th minute we could clear a not so dangerous corner kick to allow a goal from long range.

In the 46th minute Gonda almost conceded a goal with a missed clearance and got injured at the same time to be replaced by Okubo.

In the 49th minute Carlinhos did well to run past Kawasaki’s right defense to send a low cross behind him for Shirasaki to score an excellent equalization.

In the 57th minute S-Pulse exploited some poor Kawasaki’s defense to allow Carlinhos to score ahead and set a surprise win at away against the second team in the League.

But it was not to be as in the 74th minute we allowed a soft goal on a corner kick and then in the 77th minute it was another softer goal conceded on cros that should have been cleared easily enough.

In the 86th minute we were disallowed another equalization through off side.

And we could not convert a corner kick in the last minute of extra time.

Simply said we plaid well enough to win the game but lost it in tame fashion.

Now the equation is simple enough: we have to win our last three games to make sure we stay in League 1 Division starting with a postponed derby at home against Jubilo Iwata! Not easy but we have the ability to pull it off!
