REPORT

Woeful!

The booings of a pitifully small audience really hurt deep!

Why does our second team perform well against J1 League teams and why does our first team is incapable of a single good game against J2 League outfits?

Gunma had 6 shots at goal and scored three times for a 50% ration.

We had 12 shots at goal and scored only once for less than 10% ratio.

We obtained 8 corners kicks to their 3.

Why did some players start 3 games in row within 8 days?

The season is still very young and we have plenty of games to reverse the situation, but some hard unpleasant decisions are needed. It has been amply proven that there are very few established starting players and it is hoped that the players will realize at last it up to them to raise their hands and fight for their profession, club and fans or else!

As for the game, Gunma were the first to attack with a shot flying outside the far right post in the 7th minute.

In the 13th minute, Santana had his first chance but his shot completely missed its target.

In the 25th minute the whole defense looked at the opposite attackers on a free kick just outside the box to concede the first soft goal of the day.

In the 29th minute poor attack and poor defense gifted us a goal after Disaro tapped in a cross that the opposite goal keeper failed to parry properly.

But in the 31st minute S-Pulse once again played like school boys making it just too easy for Gunma to score like at a home practice.

In the 36th minute S-Pulse should have equalized but for the opposite goal keeper who redeemed himself with a fine save palming the ball away just above the cross bar.

In the 46th minute Santana once again made a mess of an excellent cross. Why did he laugh at his own mistake?

In the 53rd minute bad came to worse when a long cross should have been prevented and the last defender only helped the goal in after it was headed on. The kind of goal that will haunt the team for a long time. Actually if the ball had not gone in it would have been a penalty as the goal had been deviated by the last defender’s arm!

The rest of the game saw once chance for each side barely saved by the opposing goal keeper.

Well, what do we do now?

First of all, win our next game on Saturday in Kofu for what is called the Mount Fuji Derby (no less than 6 of them this year with Iwata and Fujieda in the same division).

Being it played on April 1st, an April Fool’s Day in wait for us? LOL
