REPORT

Back to the usual?

We still have a long way to go, have we not?

Another draw conceded at the end of the game when we should have been able to kill beforehand.

The pitifully small crowd did not things better, either. The team will have a find a quick way to bring the fans back!

It was somewhat a bruising game with both teams amounting for more than 40 fouls. We had a few more chances in front of a team which amassed no less than 9 players in front of their goal all day long.

Sendai had the first true shot at goal in the 9th minute but their middle range shot flew over the bar.

The 23rd minute saw S-Pulse ‘s first disappointment when Inui’s free kick outside the left corner of the box w\his the near post with the Sendai keeper completely beaten.

The 32nd minute saw Carlinhos kicking the perfect cross after a Sendai’s defense blunder but the volley was poorly missed.

In the 39th minute Gonda had extend himself to palm away a long range shot following woeful S-Pulse defense.

Just before half time Sendai’s defense committed blunder after blunder to allow Yoshida to pass through them to Shirasaki who did not make any mistake barely beating the off-side trap.

Just after half time, S-Pulse missed a great chance to kill the game when a great counter sent Disaro into the box but managed only to completely miss the goal from a few meters away.

The 51st minute saw S-Pulse’s forwards poorly failing to exploit another Sendai’s blunder.

In the 66th minute it was the turn of Santana to completely botch his attempt after another quick move saw him only the keeper to beat.

And what should happen after so many chances wasted happened: in the 77th minute S-Pulse tamely gave away the ball twice in a row to literally send the opposite wing alone to cross back to 3 waiting attackers with the last not missing such a gift.

In the 88th minute Sendai almost score the winner after a free kick outside the box was met barely past the far post.

In lost time Oh Se-Hun had once again the chance to become the hero of the day when a long pass allowed him inside the box but his volley hopelessly flew over the bar.

All in all, S-Pulse threw away a good opportunity at home to cash on last Sunday’s win.

Now they will have to travel to Yamaguchi on Sunday, a game they must absolutely if they do not want to be left at the bottom of the League.
