REPORT

A solid win that puts us back on the right tracks and within 5 points of the second straight promotion spot.

The score could and should have been higher, especially in the first half practically completely dominate by S-Pulse

Right from the 10th minute we could have scored after intercepting a wayward clearing but Inui’s last kick was deflected in the end.

In the 14th minute Santana almost scored on the rebound of a long range shot that the opposite keeper failed to control first.

In the 33rd minute Carlinhos opened the score with a nice curving shot past the goal keeper inside the far post after S-Pulse had countered an inept Kanazawa’s defense.

The 41st minute saw another inept Kanazawa’s defense give away a ball that Inui hit the far post with before Kamiya fired the rebound from outside the box.

In extra time Santana almost score with a log-range shot after the ball had been stolen once again by pressing S-Pulse’s forwards.

In the 53rd minute a fine movement ended with Yoshida sending the perfect cross from the left but Inui’s diving heading just flew past the post.

The 66th minute witnessed Kanazawa’s first real chance when S-Pulse gave away the ball that was fortunately struck right in Gonda’s arms.

Three minutes later Kanazawa had a dangerous free kick but Gonda produced the perfect save when the ball had been headed on his left.

The 79th minute saw a goal epitomizing the game when the S-Pulse’s forward kept pressing the Kanazawa’s defense into losing the ball which rolled to the feet of Oh Se-Hun finding himself alone facing the opposite keeper he had no problems beating.

The last minute saw the pressing S-Pulse again steal the ball with Kololli barely missing the goal with a good curving effort aimed inside the far post.

The next game will take us on Saturday to Yamagata against a team S-Pulse will do well to take very seriously. Let us hope we will keep again closing onto the leaders of the League!
