REPORT

This third consecutive win is so important since it brought us within 2 points of the second Automatic promotion spot!

But we almost made a mess of it in spite of more chances created which should have seen us sail through such a match!

Truth be told, the team had been somewhat changed since the last game with its hero moving to another club in a faraway country and the returns of Yamahara, Inui and Santana

Things should certainly have started better in the very 2nd minute with Santana unable to beat the opposite goal keeper from short range after he had been through thanks to some good pressing which saw steal the ball from an hesitant defense.

Two minutes later a perfectly struck corner kick saw Takahashi’s header beating the keeper but being barely cleared by a defender inside the far post.

In the 23rd minute Santana again missed from 2 meters after Inui has almost beaten everyone with a kick across the mouth following a slick attack running around the right flank.

In the 26th minute Santana could not make a clean contact after a great cross reached him just in front of the keeper.

In the 32nd minute Carlinhos saw his kick from the edge barely run past the far post.

In the 40th minute Ronaldo’s enormous blunder should have ended up with an undeserved lead for Yamaguchi but for Suzuki’ in extremis tackle.

In the 49th minute some lazy defense could have ended into disaster but for Takahashi’s desperate block.

In the 54th minute Inui should have done better after a splendid run by Carlinhos.

In the 63rd minute another blender by S-Pulse defense was barely parried away by Gonda.

Things were really getting desperate with all those chances missed. To make things even worse a few minutes later Carlinhos saw his powerful shot hit the bar.

In the 76th minute Takahashi’s long range shot was only parried forward by the opposite goal keeper but no S-Pulse forward could pounce on the rebound.

1 minute later poor defense by Yamaguchi ended up with Carlinhos barely miss the goal from a difficult angle.

Deliverance finally came a few minutes later when Inui sent Oh Se-Hun through to beat the off trap, run into the box from the left-hand side and pass the ball at the last moment for Carlinhos who had run all the way to tap in or a simple goal.

The next game will witness a sterner examination against a team we some revenge to think about since that contentious loss in the Capital.

It could prove the most important game of the season and we will need the support of all our brave fans!
