REPORT

That win certainly make us feel better, the more for it we are still sole holders of the second spot for automatic promotion to J1 league next year!

The score is somewhat flattering us, as it was not always an easy game, but for once we did not concede soft goals and were pretty clinical when chances came to us.

Things started very quickly when in the very 2nd minute we stole the ball in midfield to be passed to Hara on Omiya’s left flank who sent a low cross that was first half controlled with his back to the goal by Santanabefore he pivoted and unleashed a fine left foot low shot inside the far post for his first goal in six games.

But Omiya reacted right away and in the 7th minute one of their forwards was allowed to go past our right defense before unleashing a fierce shot from close range which hit the bar.

In the 11th minute Yamahara countered running along our left touch line before sending Carlinhos through with a perfect pass but the latter was blocked by the opposite goal keeper who had intelligently anticipated the move. Actually, Carlinhos could have made things more simple by passing to an unmarked Nakayama on his right.

In the 29th minute Nakayama intercepted inside Omiya’s box but Santana completely wasted a superb chance over the bar with only the goalkeeper to beat.

In the first minute of first half stoppage time it was the turn to Omiya to waste a great chance from close range over the bar.

6 minutes into stoppage time S-Pulse finally struck the telling blow. Inui sent Hara on his right flank for the latter to cross. Santana could not reach with his head but the ball flew on his left to Carlinhos who cooly controlled it before shooting it inside the far post for a fine goal.

Omiya started the second half courageously and in the 59th minute a cross from our left flank found the head of one of their forwards only for Gonda to brilliantly palm the ball safely over the bar.

But in the space of a few minutes S-Pulse sealed the game beyond their opponents.

First in the 63rd minute Inui stole the ball just outside the box before passing to Kishimito who had just entered as a substitute. The latter took his time to shoot from outside the middle of the box for a fine goal inside Omiya’s right post.

In the 65th minute Omiya attempted a very dangerous middle range low shot that rolled just past the far post.

In the 68th minute Carlinhos stole the ball inside his own half to run along the right side before passing it across the field to Inui who made no mistake from 15 meters away.

Now we are left with only game to win, the very last one on Sunday away at Mito, a club lying low in the table who is definitely within S-Pulse’s ability to beat.
