REPORT

Talk of sterile domination.

It almost looked like Machida had planned all the way to leave he ball to S-Pulse just to pounce when they wished to.

The data are damning:

We dominated possession by 64% to 36%, passes by 502 to 281, pass accuracy by 83% to 73%, while Machida committed 14 fouls to a mere 6 from us.

BUT,…

They still managed to have 16 shots at goal against 12 for us, and even more painful, they had 6 shots on target, including 3 goals against a mere 2 for us.

The whole game can be epitomized in an incessant but ineffective attack on our part and constant danger on their part.

Unfortunately, this is not fortuitous. We have not won a single game out of 5 since the beginning of the second half of the season.

Reviewing the game is just too painful and should be left to the staff and players to digest it and take the necessary measures.

Otherwise, this will become only the premises of an unforeseen disastrous end of the season.

We have a two-week break to address the situation with an Emperor’s Round (3) in between to use as a launching pad.

Time to bite the bit and show some resolve!
