REPORT

The brutal to a dream!

We lost the game strategically and emotionally.

We lost the game strategically because we had to use 4-back after a few months of sin a 3-back defense, loosing flexibility in the progress in a system unsuited against a team committed in e vary aggressive high-press tactic, even to the cost of more than three times as many fouls and three yellow cards.

We lost the game emotionally for historical reasons out of our control. Furthermore fans were allowed to use their voices and hands to encourage their teams any instruments, drums or chants were prohibited on that special day resulting in an unusual atmosphere for out team.

We could only produce 7 attempts at goal against 16. The only we real chance we could have exploited was in the 8th minute when Capixaba an excellent cross that Kitagawa could not convert.

Apart of that it was more or a predictable game in favor of Hiroshima compounded by missed passes from our side.

We had very little to show in the end.

Note that new recruit forward Toshiki Takahashi was given a chance in the second half.

Now, it is back to the J1 League on Sunday against the same opponent on the same Hiroshima pitch. Time to regroup and show some guts!
