REPORT
WE lost a very exciting game we could have won with a bit more application!
Games at Kawasaki have practically never been successful for the simple reason our opponents have always found early breaches in our formation.
We paid dearly for the absence of Kim Min Tae who had so secured our middle defense until then, especially in a catastrophic first half when we conceded 3 consecutive goals within the first 13 minutes in a total defense debacle. We conceded another fourth goal in the 37th minute before we finally started to react with our first goal in extra time. On the other hand, we fought well in the second half even besting our opponents in spite of yet another missed penalty.
At the end of the game data was in our favor, meaning once again that numbers do not reflect the reality.
We dominated the possession by 59% to 41%, passes to the tune of 449 to330 and even in pass accuracy (89% to 84%)
But when it comes to attempted shots and shots on target it was a different story. Kawasaki had 15 attempts at goal with 9 on target, but we only had 5 shots on target for our 14 attempts, proving clearly where the difference was.
Our present situation in the League although practically secured.
We still four games left to build and prepare the next season with an easier schedule now that we have faced the most difficult opponents.
WE should have performed a lot better, and we have to find the reasons for this partial failure. On the positive side more an more young players are proving their worth but it is time for them to step up even further.
Next Saturday will see the coming of an old adversary in the neme of Tokyo Verdy on our grounds. Time to show our potential!
