REPORT
Why cannot we just make things easier?
Why do we have this propensity to go one step forward after achieving our goals?
We lost 5 points in the last two games, 2 at home and 3 against a club who just got promoted from J3 League.
Now we find ourselves back behind our closest rivals for that second direct promotion spot and start all over again!
Right from the 3rd minute a flat-footed defense allowed all the time to a single Fujieda player to run past and play around the box with his last shot barely missing goal.
In the 14th minute on a short corner kick Inui completely wasted a good enough chance from close range.
In the 28th minute Carlinhos could not finish a good enough move inside the Fujieda box.
In the 50th minute after some poor defense from Fujieda Lonardo’s great middle-range shot was barely pushed away by the Fujieda keeper.
After these missed chances Fujieda in the 54th minute exploited a very weak passing from S-Pulse defenders in spite of having all the field for themselves with a Fujieda defender punishing us with a great long-range shot against the run of play the S-Pulse defenders defended with their backsides instead of their feet.
In the 60th minute S-Pulse missed a good chance on a counter following a corner kick but Santana and Carlinhos could only messed their feet into clumsy efforts.
And then in the 70th minute came the silliest goal of the year with a nowhere kick bounced in front of a S-Pulse defender who weakly tried to head it back to goalkeeper Gonda only to be intercepted by a marauding Fujieda forward who had no trouble to lob Gonda.
All in all, a game not to be proud of: missed early opportunities, stupid goals conceded, lazy passing and irresponsible defense. We certainly deserved to lose against a team who fought he odds and took their very few chances.
The equation is simple enough: we just have to win all our remaining games starting with our direct rivals, Yamaha Jubilo, at home on Saturdays. No need to say more!
