Lady Luck is still ignoring Shimizu S-Pulse!
A great match but so frustrating!

Shimizu S-Pulse took the lead three times with splendid goals only to be leveled every time through errors and blunders by a defense obviously disorganized.

In the 6^th minute a clever pass by Kitagawa allowed Kaneko to fire from close range.But in the 11^th minute an out of position defense gave away a free kick just on the box line which was converted giving no chance to Rokutan.

The first half continued in a frenzy with no more goals despite chances on both sides.

The second half started like the first with Douglas sweetly converting Kakuda’s free kick with a superb heading.

But ten minutes later a quick Reds counter was helped all the way to the final kick which even managed to give the ball away to the opposite striker for the last kick.

S-Pulse nevertheless went back on the attack and were rewarded when Kaneko shot home a rebound from the post.But ten minutes later again a comedy of errors, mistakes, and what else allowed a lone Reds’ forward to somehow head in a towering clearance that S-Pulse’s defenders managed to look at without interfering.

And once again S-Pulse threw everything into the attack and could even have snatched the victory at the very last second of additional time.

But it was not to be. The crowd nevertheless cheered the clearly distraught players for their unending efforts which augur well for the future which starts with a host game against Sapporo on Saturday!
