REPORT
For once Lady Luck really smiled on Shimizu S-Pulse!
Or more aptly said, sometimes a draw feels worse than a loss!

Sagan Tosu must have held at least 80% of the possession. They are a team with a strong defense and midfield but they lack firepower up front and it certainly helped an unusually lethargic S-Pulse team content to defend. S-Pulse did get a few corner kicks but the first and only shot on target out of two attemps for the whole game was an excellent goal against the run of play when Valdo jumped above everyone for a fine heading following a great corner kick by Nishizawa from the right side.

By that time Tosu had had at least a dozen attempts at goal. S-Pulse resisted until the 84th minute when they conceded the softest goal of all season when 3 players interfered with each other to block a single Tosu Player who should not have got hold of the ball to start with.

The less said about this game, the better maybe. Truth to tell, S-Pulse was a very tired team. Now they will have two weeks rest before a difficult away game at Kashiwa on Saturday 31st! Let us hope they show another face!
