REPORT
We could not get rid of that Tokyo National Stadium, but at least we did our share of entertainment in front of a massive crowd and never gave up even against an acquired result. We certainly showed character by twice equalizing before being overwhelmed at the beginning of the second half but showed grit and determination by adding a third goal in the dying minutes. This late goal will certainly prove a boost and encouragement for the future!
Although we would prefer to forget that particular match, it certainly ended up into a great advertisement for soccer in Japan, and this is the kind of match that will attract even better foreign players and promoters to this country!
The team is still learning new strategies under new staff, but the good signs of improvement are there to behold. It will be a fight for the rest of the season with a somewhat distorted schedule at the very wrong time, but we will have to take the bit by the teeth and fight on!
The challenge will be there with two more away games in the same week, the first one against Vissel Kobe in Kobe, a team which is struggling at the bottom of the league, making them the more dangerous for it!
Keep fighing!
