REPORT
Talk of another disappointment…
The third straight match which should have seen us clinch the promotion to J 1 League ending either in a frustrating draw or a futile exercise of a loss.
Talking of a loss, our unbeaten home record was finally interrupted in the most ridiculous manner in front of a sold-out home ground.
Montedio Yamagata, a plucky team we do not play well against in spite of their lower ranking taught a lesson of efficiency, tenacity and sheer motivation.
In spite of dominating possession, outshooting our opponents by 17 to 6 (6 on target against 2…), and having twice as many corner kicks it took us 75 minutes for Kitagawa score and give us some hope only to let the game get out of our grasp in a mere 8 minutes, thinking we had done enough in spite of all our sterile efforts.
Another game to forget…
Little need to comment any further as we all know that our future is in our hands with only one win needed out of the next three game, two of them at home.
We start with our final campaign next Saturday in Ustunomiya against a Tochigi team in complete disarray and almost relegated who are still very dangerous for that very reason. We certainly cannot afford to show any more complacency.
Let us give a win and a promotion right away for our fans to celebrate in full swing at home!
